Both ends protected, nothing to lose
The original Chroma Drive had one connector exposed while you used the other. The new version puts rotating metal covers on both USB-A and USB-C ends. They click open and shut like a Zippo and lock into place, so nothing rattles loose and there is no cap to drop in a dark booth. It ships with a protective case and a lanyard, and the built-in keyring loop means you can attach it to whatever you want.
Sync in seconds, not hours. Built for Rekordbox and Engine DJ exports
Have you ever waited an hour for 100 tracks to copy onto a USB from Rekordbox? Most drives are not built for it. The read and write speeds that actually matter for DJ transfers are rarely the ones on the box. Most USB memory is tuned for single big files, like one large video, not for the thousands of small files a DJ library is made of: metadata, cues, tracks, and analysis data, all checked and updated at once. The Chroma Drive uses memory chosen and formatted for exactly that job, so your library syncs in seconds.
Tested by DJs for thousands of hours
We have put these through 350 plus hour marathon sets, runs on every Pioneer DJ and Denon DJ all-in-one and media player we could get our hands on, heavy media recording, Stressdisk testing to confirm a long memory life, high-dust and high-heat conditions in the middle of the Black Rock Desert, and 500 plus plug and unplug cycles to wear on the connectors the way real touring does.
Dual USB-C and USB-A for the gear you own now and next
The Chroma Drive comes pre-formatted as FAT32, which gives you the widest compatibility across DJ gear, including units that are a few years old. USB-A plugs straight into standalone CDJs and players, USB-C handles your laptop and phone, and you are covered when the next generation of gear ships with USB-C. For best results, leave 10 to 15 percent of the drive free to avoid library issues.
Support-first warranty
Most DJ drives fail from corruption, not from physical damage. If anything goes wrong with your Chroma Drive, snap a photo or screenshot of the issue and message us. We will help you get it working again fast. The drive also carries a one year warranty against manufacturing defects. If it fails, send it back and we will get a replacement out to you right away.
