Has to be said that I`ve used other people`s K2s before buying my own
They were already mapped and up and running
Without a Computer or Software installed (even using REKORBOX on the CDJs) - the K2 won`t work. Nowhere does it say this in any write ups and I think it should be added
You need the software to then program it as a compatible device - so I have just bought a XMG 15 DJ Computer (my old laptop on it`s last legs anyway) to run things properly instead of straight from the CDJs to Mixer. In this set up - the K2 is not ideal and I think people should be aware of this
That said - I`m 52 and just switching over to fully Digital. I`m not the best with technology - so still some way to go on the learning curve !!
As for the CDJ 900 Nexus Decks - they are superb and I`m glad I bought those vs the CDJ 2000`s. With the exception of direct Hot Cues (which come on most Software anyway) the Beat Divides, Looping and Slip Mode are superb vs my older CDJ800s ................ although it will take some time to Rip my music collection for USB usage. Display on the CDJ 900s is also a marked improvement over old decks
