Use this chip to upgrade to our exclusive 1.4 firmware. This brand new firmware provides your VCI-100 with features that were never before possible!
Here are a few of the improvements we made to version 1.4:
- High-resolution jog wheels (4x resolution means way better scratching)
- High-resolution pitch faders (4x resolution means you can now beatmatch to a fine precision)
- The outer jog wheel area is now disabled in CD JOG mode. This means that vibrations in clubs will no longer turn SYNC off!
- LED outputs now let us light up the Play and Slice buttons
- Fixed the SYNC button toggle issue
- Filter knobs send both regular 0-127 CC message only
- Eliminated the problem where the 4th FX buttons trigger other buttons (cue)
- Added MIDI in functionality to the loop buttons
- Added a Note On to the jog wheel in scroll mode
- Added a "freeze function" to the bottom of each fader and top of the FX knobs. this sends out a 127 message only at the end of the movement
- Added inverted messages to the faders (this allows an effect to be turned on by turning the fader down- not possible otherwise)
- Added unique values to the FX buttons (these were used for direct FX selection- now added in Traktor Pro)
Please keep in mind:
- You will need a serial cable port
- Serial to USB cables can work but have issues
- A windows machine is required
- Upgrading the firmware will not void any warrenty
- We provide the kit for personal use and can not promise you will be able to complete the task
- This process is a service center style repair, so you undertake it at your own risk!

"I just finished updating my VCI Firmware 1.1 to 1.3. I used the steps descibed by Ean, and it works like a charm. No errors, no bugs, no nothing. It works perfect! I have a PC, SP3 and used a standard 9-pin serial cable and the Com1 port on my desktop PC. It took me 15 minutes in total.

*This is a legacy product. The upgrade process is somewhat complicated, and not everyone is able to successfuly update on their first try. We HIGHLY recommend a serial to serial cable. We are not actively supporting this product (phone calls and emails), but support is provided in our forums.
